Vega Choir – Creep

After numerous requests from people asking who the choir are singing the cover of Radiohead’s Creep for the trailer of the film The Social Network that was posted last week (http://bit.ly/9252ml), I have posted a version that I think is similar/better.

The choir who sing on the movie trailer are the Scala Choir & Kolacny brothers, a Belgian girls’ choir who are well known for doing melodic covers of contemporary music.

The clip I have posted is a version of Radiohead’s Creep that sounds very similar to the Scala Choir but is performed by the Vega Choir from Sweden and is accompanied by a rather moving if not slightly disturbing video…

The Parlotones interview by Maria Bunzl – Can I kick it? Yes you can!

I came across a rather excellent interview on YouTube this morning and thought I would share it with all you lovely people – Darren in NYC will like it in particular.

OK, so what’s happening June 11th 2010 – like we don’t know? The FIFA World Cup in South Africa – exactly one month away. With Nelson Mandela presiding over proceedings, this is quite a significant World Cup for a number of reasons. Firstly, it is being held on the African Continent for the 1st time and secondly, in amongst artists such as Alicia Keys and the Black Eyed Peas is South Africa’s own Parlotones.
So who are the Parlotones? They kicked of their career in 2003 and today have become the biggest selling band in South Africa. Lean more here:

Marina Bunzl has conducted a wonderful and relaxed interview with the band. Unlike the contrived tosh that gets served these days as music interviews, it’s refreshing to see this London based journalist carry it off (in amongst some tweets) with such aplomb. One nil Marina!
