Porsche unveils 200 MPH 918 Spyder concept

The Porsche 918 Spyder concept is one of three hybrid models unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.
The 918 Spyder has a 500bhp V8 petrol engine and two electric motors, one on each axle, capable of supplying a combined 218bhp to the mix.
The other hybrids were the new Cayenne S and a 911 GT3 R racing car, which uses an electrically driven front axle to supplement the power of the 480bhp flat-six petrol engine and a flywheel storage battery.
Porsche claim the 918 Spyder is capable of lapping the Nordschleife circuit at the Nϋrburgring in less than seven and a half minutes, while producing 70g/km less of carbon dioxide.
